Short version: Pomodoro Kitty does not send your browsing activity, page content, settings, or personal information to the developer or to third parties. The extension works locally in your browser.

What the extension does

Pomodoro Kitty helps users take timely breaks while browsing by showing a cat break screen after a chosen focus period.

Information processed locally

To provide its core functionality, Pomodoro Kitty processes the following information locally in Chrome:

Current website address and hostname: checked to determine whether the timer is enabled on the current site.
Page focus and visibility state: checked so active browsing time advances the timer correctly.
User settings: focus and break lengths, selected domains, feature toggles, and related preferences.
Current session state: the active focus or break state needed to keep the timer reliable.

Storage and retention

Preferences are stored locally using Chrome extension storage. Current session state may be stored in Chrome session storage. This information remains on the user's device and can be removed by changing settings, clearing extension data, or uninstalling the extension.

Data sharing and transmission

Pomodoro Kitty does not transmit browsing activity, URLs, page content, settings, or personal information to the developer or any third party. It has no developer-operated server, analytics service, advertising network, tracking SDK, or external API.

Data use

Information processed by the extension is used only to provide the timer, site-selection, countdown, and break-screen features. It is not sold, used for advertising, used to determine creditworthiness, or used for any unrelated purpose.

Permissions

Storage: saves timer preferences, selected domains, feature toggles, and session state locally.
Alarms: ends an active break reliably even when the extension's background service worker is suspended.
Website access: displays the optional countdown and break overlay on normal HTTP and HTTPS pages and checks the current hostname and visibility state.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this policy

If the extension's data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes are distributed.
